Biomethane

Considered the fuel of the energy transition, biomethane is a gas composed of at least 90% methane, capable of reducing up to 95% of greenhouse gas emissions.

This fuel has characteristics that make it interchangeable with natural gas, and suitable for replacing diesel and LPG, and can reduce particulate emissions by up to 97% when used to replace diesel in heavy vehicles.

Brazil has the scale to produce enough biomethane to replace 100% of the demand for natural gas or 70% for diesel in a stable manner throughout the year, guaranteeing firm contracts, as well as in electricity.
